Throughout 2016, MKK has had the pleasure of designing and constructing HVAC units to seven large offshore cranes that will operate on Sverdrup field.
The contract is valued at over four million NOK, and is in cooperation with Palfinger Marine that design and manufacture the actual Cranes.
MKK greatly appreciate the confidence that Palfinger shows by this contract. And will emphasize the importance for us, by getting the opportunity to show our expertise and quality within HVAC for such a large multinational cooperation.
In addition to customized dimensions, Palfinger also needed quality at each stage until fully developed product. Due to their quality requirements, the harsh and extreme climate conditions occurring in the North Sea, Palfinger turned to MKK for our expertise and experience.
With this collaboration, MKK deliver a total amount of fourteen different AC-units. That will supply both crane cabin and electro rooms, with ventilated and pressurized air in these seven cranes. Fresh air supply is equipped with infrared gas detector, and all external units is of explosion-proof equipment according to ATEX directive.
The last part of the delivery will take place in February 2017. MKK will then evaluate this Project, and work hard to ensure further development and cooperation with Palfinger.
